Saturday kicked off Day 3 of Comic-Con, and the crowds poured onto the convention floor to start the weekend in Geek Style.
At noon, deviantART hosted our final panel: How to Supercharge Your deviantART Profile Like the Masters. Moderated by none other than our fearless ninja, Angelo (aka spyed (https://www.deviantart.com/spyed)), we were honored to have the following superstars share their deviantART experiences with the crowd:
- Adam Warren (AdamWarren (https://www.deviantart.com/adamwarren) -- “The Dirty Pair,” “Empowered”)
- Mark Brooks (diablo2003 (https://www.deviantart.com/diablo2003), from Marvel Comics)
- Jim Zubkavich (Zubby (https://www.deviantart.com/zubby) -- Project Manager of Creative Services, Udon Entertainment)
- Dave Ell
If you bought a charm, not a preorder ( though this does apply to the preorders ), and are wondering why it's a weird dingy manila color and not the image shown on my site....
There's tape on it...
I've been keeping the tape on recently to prevent the charms from scratches in transit so that when you get your new charm it can be perfectly shiny and flawless. No more accidental scratches or finger prints from me during packaging for all of you with OCDs, you are welcome. Few people have contacted me saying the artwork is faded. It's masking tape. I should've put a notice in your envelopes.
For those who either accepted their faded charms, o

Symbol(s) for the non Premium Deviants
Hello my Ryceballs. So eversince DA's recent symbol changes, I have been hearing a lot of complaints. Mostly about how regular non premium members don't even get a symbol. It makes them feel like they are not important. Its ok I hear ya I hear ya. And you know me, I am all about the people. Ry-Spirit cares. So I thought about this a lot and try to think of an appropriate symbol that best suits our non premium friends, at the end I came up with a symbol... WELL I say a symbol but its more like a string of symbols. I feel like this is the only option for it to work. And I have used myself as an example of what the symbols would look like if I a
Canvas sizes - inches and dpi and pixels by Qinni, journal
Canvas sizes - inches and dpi and pixels
This is a sort of guide on canvas sizes, inches, dpi and pixel x pixels.
when it came to canvas sizes, I always kind of assumed that inches belonged with dpi and pixels were just pixels and that everyone knew that; but i read a whole bunch of comments on a tumblr blog where someone asked about canvas sizes, and SO MANY people were replying with things such as, "4000x4000 px at 300 dpi" or "2000x2000 px at 200dpi".
and I guess not everyone quite understands what dpi's really used for xD.
DPI = Dots per Inch. It means how many dots will be printed per inch.
DPI is actually used for printing purposes. It shows the printer how much pixels to

Procrastination and Creativity
"You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.
What mood is that?
Last-minute panic."
Bill Watterson
You are well-aware of the importance of this project, in fact you can't wait to get to it! Too bad you promised your friends to go for a drink, and then there's that movie. Also, your productivity is at its strongest at Midnight, first Tuesday after the Full Moon, starting earlier would be a waste of time. Make sure you are well-rested! After all, is there a better way to prepare yourself for a productive tomorrow than an enjoyable today?

Back when CSS was allowed for journals for the first time there had been only a few deviants like ClaireJones (https://www.deviantart.com/clairejones), Lilyas (https://www.deviantart.com/lilyas) or kuschelirmel-stock (https://www.deviantart.com/kuschelirmel-stock) who provided free skins for everyone. Through the time more and more people enjoyed working on CSS skins and we also got the chance to skin our galleries.
These days, and thanks to the great resources about journal and gallery CSS that have been created, it is possible for nearly everyone to code their own skins and/or to share them with others. Still there are many people who struggle with some basic things, which is why we want to focus on some of them here.

1. - WHAT IS COLOR?
Color is the aspect of things that is caused by differing qualities of light being reflected or emitted by them, as received by the human eye and processed by the human brain. It is a function of light and biology, not an exact science, no two people can see it exactly the same.
The human eye and brain together translate light into color. Light receptors within the eye transmit messages to the brain, which produces the familiar sensations of color. Newton observed that color is not inherent in objects. Rather, the surface of an object reflects some colors and absorbs all the others. We perceive only the reflected colors.

PE: Welcome, welcome!
Here, I am doing my special welcome dance that needs more steps and revamping for you~
Greetings, fellow deviantART user! I welcome you to this warm article. Here, have a seat on this massage chair, and relax. How about something to read, like say, the latest issue of DELVE? Oh, and I'll have George get your snacks. Pizza, Cookies, Cake, or something else? What beverage would you like with that? Uh-huh.
Thank you.
Ah, the joys of welcoming others. Have you ever welcomed someone to something? Online? Offline? Over at dAmn? During a Live Streaming? How about a guest? Or a co-worker? Fellow classmate? While it is nothing obligatory, a welc
